A lot has been guessed, studied and stated about the importance of a healthy diet which has rightfully made us diet conscious. Resultantly, we avoid fried items and include nutritious foods in our diet but a question here arises, are we consuming the right nutrients? The major nutrients that a human body require comprises of proteins, vitamins and fats which gives it the essential energy for various functions such as heart beating, breathing etc. In addition, it requires minerals and vitamins to work optimally. But what is exactly a right diet routine that covers all these essential nutrients?

Apparently, a best diet chart has foods from all food families consisting of pulses, cereals, milk products, fruits, vegetables etc. Thus, their proportional inclusion can create wonders for your body and can even slow down the process of aging. But at the same time over inclusion of one nutrient and a complete avoidance of another can prove to be counterproductive gradually leading to chronic illness. Micronutrients:

Nutrients like proteins, carbohydrates and fats come under this category. Optimally, our body should get 50 percent of total calorie requirements from carbohydrates, 15 percent from proteins and 10 percent from fats. And if your body endures a lot of physical work, the nutrient requirement increases. Thus, regular intake of these nutrients is essential. At the same time, their over consumption has its own share of disadvantages, obesity being one of the finest examples. So, regulate their inclusion in your diet accordingly.

Sodium:

This mineral is essential to regulate the fluid flow, blood pressure and electrical activity of the body. Thus, failure in the rightful consumption of this nutrient can lead to high blood pressures. Where at the same time it’s over consumption can lead to chronic diseases such as hypertension, heart diseases and certain type of cancer. Thus, Sodium’s intake in appropriate amount is essential. It is basically found in the food items like salts, cereals, cakes, biscuits etc.

Hydration:

It might not look obvious but our body needs water for multiple operations like fluid flow, temperature control, excretion of toxins etc. Thus, if you consume inadequate amount of water, your body may not get properly hydrated which can prove to be harmful. Thus, you should consume at least 2-3 ml of water per day. At the same time, over consumption can also prove to be harmful as it might lead to premature skin sagging and flushing off of the essential minerals from the body.

Vitamins:

These are essential for healthy metabolism and proper tissue building in body. The energy provided by micronutrients is consumed by body with the help of these vitamins. While water soluble vitamins like C and B gets flushed out of the body and thus can be consumed freely, the consumption of fat soluble vitamins like A, D, E and K should be regulated as it might lead to obesity.
Thus, the regulated consumption of all the essential nutrients is more important as it has been rightly stated that excess of everything is bad. In addition, you can also opt for herbal diet remedies over the processed ones as they contain right amount of these nutrients which can indeed be very beneficial.
